CARLETON EDWARD HUBBART, age 77, of Kendallville, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Hubbart was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 14, 1938 to the late Clifford Emmitt Hubbart and Velma (McAnch) Hubbart.  His mother passed away at an early age and he was raised by his uncle Ed Graden and grew up with his cousin Barry Graden of Kendallville. Carleton moved from Bluffton to Kendallville in 1952 and graduated from Kendallville High School  in 1956.  Mr.Hubbart served his country in the Army National Guard 1956-1964.  At the young age of 14, Carleton started working at his uncle’s shop, Graden Tire Recapping on the north side Kendallville.  When he was older, he took over operations of the business and continued to work there for many years.  He later was employed with the Fort Wayne Foundry.  He was a member of the Bluffton and Kendallville Masonic Lodge and he was a member of the First Bapist Church of Kendallville.  

Survivors include: 
Daughter, Amy Hubbart of Kendallville.
Son, Edward Graden Hubbart of Covington, Kentucky.
Four grandchildren.
Sister, Lucille Kitchen of Missouri.

He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Clifford "Cliffy" Hubbart and Bob Hubbart.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 5-8pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Friday September 18, 2015, at 11am at Hite Funeral Home.

Burial with military honors will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Waynedale near Fort Wayne.
