DOUGLAS CHARLES WOLFORD, age 62, of Kendallville, died on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.  Mr. Wolford was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 8, 1953 to the late Donald A. Wolford and Madalyn Marie (Howell) Wolford.  He married Kay Ellen Easterday on September 20, 1974.  Doug was employed with the City of Kendallville Police Department for 32 years.  He worked in various capacities including police officer, dispatcher, and supervisor of communications before he retired in 2008.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He loved the outdoors, sitting around a campfire,  and target shooting.  He enjoyed doing yard work and took pride in keeping his yard looking nice.  It was important to Doug to do things the right way the first time.   He maintained high standards for himself and always strived to help others.

Wife, Kay Wolford of Kendallville.
Daughter, Christina and Kevin Rouch of Kendallville.
Daughter, Natalie and Jonathan Waterfall of Laurel, Montana.
Three grandchildren, Lucas and Leah Rouch and Ethan Waterfall.
Brother, Dennis and Margaret Wolford of Lafayette, Tennessee.
Brother, Donald and Linda Wolford of Leo.
Nephew, Jack and Deb Wolford of Greenville, Tennessee.
Nephew, Kurt Wolford of Fort Wayne.
Neice, Kelly and Gary Skeel of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Logan Waterfall

Visitation will be June 17, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.  No funeral services scheduled.  Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
