Pat (Schnurr) Tierney

Patricia Louise Tierney, age 90, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  Mrs. Tierney was born July 24, 1926 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Edward and Helen (Parisot) Schnurr.  She graduated from Southside High School in 1944 and started working at General Electric in Fort Wayne.  She was married to Edward John Tierney on January 10, 1948 in Fort Wayne.  Ed preceded her in death on September 26, 1993.  Pat was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.  Later in life, she worked at Superior Sample in Ligonier.  She loved to crochet, collect porcelain dolls and tend to her flower gardens. 

Survivors include:
Son, Kenneth and Barbara Tierney of Avilla.
Son, Timothy and Michele Tierney of Decatur.
Son, Dennis Tierney of Kendallville.
Daughter, Jeanne and Richard Hart of Avilla.
Son, Robert and Michele Tierney of Elkhart.
Son, James and Sue Tierney of Osceola.
21 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Sister, Bonnie and Ronald Straessle of Avilla.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Jerome, Thomas, Gene, Donald, and Robert Schnurr.   

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation is also an hour prior to the funeral service Friday.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Kane officiating.
Burial will take place at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
Memorial donations may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
