ROBERT H. CAIN, age 72, died on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mr. Cain was born in Kendallville on October 5, 1933 to Nevin John and Mildred Irene (Rothamel) Cain.
He graduated from Kendallville High School in 1952 and attended Ball State University and Purdue University.

From 1953-1955 he served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force specializing in cryptography.

He married Carol Ann Howell on April 13, 1955 at Trinity Church United Methodist in Kendallville.

Mr. Cain was first employed with Flint & Walling Manufacturing in Kendallville for about 20 years.
He was associated with V.R. Myers Pump & Supply in Fort Wayne retiring from traveling sales in 1996 after 15 years. He currently was employed with MidState Pipe & Supply Company in Kendallville.

He was a life member of the Kendallville Elks Lodge and Trinity Church United Methodist in Kendallville where he was on the finance committee.

He loved following his children and grandchildren's activities.
Mr. Cain enjoyed all sports especially playing golf. In his high school years, he lettered all four years in baseball at KHS.

Survivors include:
Wife, Carol Cain of Kendallville
Daughter, Melody Ransburg of Big Long Lake
Son, Mark and Tina Cain of Kendallville
Son, Matthew and Jeri Cain both of Kendallville

Eight grandchildren, Rory Ransburg, Joshua and Elizabeth Ransburg, Hope Williams, Justin Cain, Devin Cain, Kristopher, Ashley and Kylie Grubb
Five great grandchildren, Jaide Ransburg, Trace and Madison Cain, Austin and Vickie Williams

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Cain.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2006, from 2:00-8:00PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00AM at Trinity Church United Methodist, Kendallville with one hour of visitation before the funeral service

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Scott Pattison.
Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
