BARBARA ANN DAVIS, age 87, of Kendallville died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.  Mrs. Davis was born in Kendallville, Indiana on January 12, 1928 to the late John and Helen (Bragg) DeBelius.  She graduated from Kendallville High School in 1946 and attended Indiana University for two years.  She married Harold Arthur "Gabby" Davis on June 10, 1949 in Kendallville.  Gabby preceded her in death October 27, 2013.  Barb was employed with Duane Axel Insurance in Kendallville for 31 years before retiring in 1998.  She was an active lifetime member the First Presbyterian Church in Kendallville.  Over many years, she served in various capacities within the church including Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, president of the Presbyterian Women's Association, and Sunday school teacher.  She also belonged to the Mary Martha Circle, helped with countless church bazaars, rummage sales, and many other church activities.  She was a member of Tri Kappa since high school.  Barb was also actively involved with the American Field Service, Kendallville chapter for many years.  She volunteered many hours with the American Red Cross Blood Mobile, Teen-Parent Coop, Meals-On-Wheels, and the Sacred Heart Home.  She delivered the Fort Wayne newspaper in the Kendallville area for many years.  After she retired, she kept busy working part time for Anita Hess and her real estate business.  Barb was an avid Bridge player and member of several Bridge clubs.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family for birthdays, Christmas, and many other special occasions.

Survivors include: 
Son, John and Cinda Davis of Pittsboro, Indiana.
Son, Jeff Davis of Leo.
Son, Jim Davis of Cave Creek, Arizona.
Daughter, Judy and Greg Guthrie of Kendallville.
9 grandchildren: Nathan and Kimberley Davis of Fort Wayne; Adam and Nicole Davis of Huntertown; Matthew and Keri Davis of Brownsburg, Indiana; Andrea and Mike Smith of Indianapolis; Nikolas and Brooke Davis of Chicago, Illinois; Lauren and Richi Chapman of Costa Mesa, California; Ava Schenck-Davis of Burlington, Massachusetts; Bambi Guthrie of Fort Wayne; and Kari Guthrie of Kendallville.
11 great grandchildren: Riley, Zoe, Carter, Dylan, Wyatt, Jack, and Tyler Davis, Naomi Guthrie and Thadious Kline, and Kenzie Grace Smith, and Davis Chapman.
Sister, Betsy McLean of Texas.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Greg Guthrie, Jr. on January 7, 2011.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-5:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.  Please join the family in celebrating Barb's life by wearing joyful and colorful attire.  There will be visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Jordy Truman.

Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church.

Casketbearers will be grandchildren.
