To the entire Newell Family. My husband Rod and I are sincerely sorry to hear Betty had passed away. Our prayers are with you all. As for myself, many memories of Betty that I have, keeps running threw my head. I can remember in how she would sew and make many wonderful and beautiful dresses for my daughter, Jessica ( Newell) Stewart.and how she did indeed enjoy the cottage at McGlish Lake. I do appreciate her and Bert taking care of Jessica and Jonathan for 4 years, when Michael and I was needing someone. I know as a mother in law ( ex now for several years) she only gave her opinion to me because she wanted to help. The greatest memories I have to most of Betty is her telling me how important it is to "eat healthy", how her and her sister, Helen, came to visit me in the hospital when Jessica was born, and how we both thought how ironic it was that her and I both was thinking of boys name that began with the letter "J" the night prior to the day Jonathan was born. Again, our sympathy and prayers are with the Newell Family.

I'm sorry to learn of Aunt Betty's passing. We may have lost her here on earth, but they have gained her up in heaven. May the family find comfort in knowing that and that she's been reunited with Uncle Bert.
I will always remember and be thankful for her hospitality when visiting her at the lake while growing up---great memories.
