Verlin M. Lung

VERLIN M. LUNG, age 77, of Kendallville died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his Kendallville home.

Mr. Lung was born in DeKalb County on October 11, 1937 to Kenneth and Leona (Gerig) Lung.

He graduated from Auburn High School in Auburn.        

Mr. Lung honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.  During his time in the Army he worked as a printer and worked at the Stars and Stripes Newspaper in Darmstadt, Germany.

He married Nancy L. Kemerly on October 26, 1962 in Avilla.  Nancy survives in Kendallville.

Mr. Lung started Modern Printing in Kendallville in 1968 and it continues on today.  It has been a true family business having his wife and two sons work along side of him.

He was a member of the Kendallville Elks Lodge where he enjoyed playing cards.  He enjoyed bird watching, fishing and being outside.  Mr. Lung was a good cook and he and Nancy loved to host family holidays.  He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Cubs and East Noble football.

His wife, Nancy L. Lung of Kendallville.
Son, Gregory Lung of Kendallville.
Son, Geoffrey Lung of Kendallville.
Daughter, Cindy and Steve Inman of Huntertown.
Daughter, Debbie Riecke of Huntertown.
Daughter, Kathy and Doran Peacock of Kendallville.
Daughter, Kim and Henry Cavazos of Kokomo.
Grandchildren: Tiffany (Dustin) Shire, Derek Lung, Megan Lung, Trey Lung, Mike Inman, Jamie Molargik, Amanda Molargik, Erika Crouch, Josh Pfeiffer, Nikki Pfeiffer, Samantha Biancardi, Freddy Biancardi, Bianca Biancardi and Zach Cavazos.
Several great grandchildren.
Sister, Peg and Pat Miller of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Carol and Richard Pearsall of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Sister, Kay and Richard Bitner of Pennsylvania.
Brother-in-law, Thomas Kemerly of Bloomington, Indiana.
Sister-in-law, Kay and Greg Snapp of El Paso, Texas.
Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; Nelson Lung, Lanny Lung and Larry Lung and one sister; Nancy Boger. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00 to 7:00 PM the Kendallville Elks Lodge, 120 Weston Avenue in Kendallville.

Preferred memorials may be made to the Kendallville Parks and Recreation Department, 211 Iddings Street, Kendallville, Indiana 46755.
